Explore Solutions

Hello, my name is Bill Lee. I have over 35 years of experience providing drinking water solutions for the marine, industrial and residential sectors. I'd like to share some insights on how we can reliably face water supply challenges of any scale.

Science & Health: Optimal Water

The properties of regular fresh water differ significantly from what is ideal for the human body. Achieving optimal hydration requires a meticulous purification and remineralization process, ensuring a precise balance of alkalinity and negative ions.

The Science of Optimal Water

Filter Spectrum Analysis

1. TDS (Total Dissolved Solids)

Measured in Parts Per Million (PPM), TDS indicates mineral concentration. 110 PPM offers light, mineral-balanced water that provides efficient hydration without feeling heavy.

2. pH 7.5 (Alkaline)

Measured on a scale of 0-14. Slightly alkaline water aligns with human blood pH (7.4), helping to neutralize gastric acidity (preventing acid reflux/GERD) and supporting metabolic health.

3. Negative Ions

These act as antioxidants, neutralizing free radicals that cause cellular aging and inflammation. Drinking this water combats oxidative stress and boosts vitality.

Where Do You Get Your Water?

If you are located near the ocean, desalination—whether via a beach well or direct seawater intake—is the most consistent solution. While desalination overcomes most supply challenges, it is important to consider energy and environmental factors.

1. Brine Management

Only a portion of processed seawater becomes potable; the remainder, containing filtered salts and minerals, is discharged. This concentrated brine must be diluted with additional seawater before returning it to the ocean to minimize environmental impact.

2. Energy Consumption

Producing drinking water requires significant electrical energy. The most efficient option is grid power, but where unavailable, alternatives using renewable energy sources or traditional fuels can be employed.
